The West Virginia University College of Creative Arts will be one of two entities benefiting from the Christian W. Klay Winerys 6th Annual Chili Cook-Off and Mountain Harvest Festival on Saturday, Sept. 18, in Chalk Hill, Pa.
Admission for the event, which runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the winery, is $3. All proceeds from the event will go to the College of Creative Arts and the State Theatre in Uniontown, Pa.
The College of Creative Arts is honored that the Christian W. Klay Winery has included us in what promises to be a most enjoyable fundraising activity,said Bernie Schultz, dean of the college.The winerys annual chili cook-off has become a well-recognized event in our area, and we are deeply appreciative that this years proceeds will assist our students in helping to create the future of the arts.
The afternoon will feature music by Fred Adams and the WVU Steel Drum Band, food and craft vendors, activities for the kids, a silent auction, grape stomping, and of course, tastings of the award-winning wines from the Christian W. Klay collection.
