West Virginia University student Erin Bahurinsky has received a $500 American Eagle Scholarship Award from Channellock and Industrial Supply Manufacturers Association.
A senior textiles, apparel and merchandising major from Meadville, Pa., she is the daughter of David and Lori Bahurinsky.
She was selected for the scholarship based on her grade-point average and an essay focusing on the free enterprise system and its role in the American way of life. To qualify, she also had to be the child or grandchild of a current Channellock associate.
The scholarship is part of Channellocks Falcon Program, an initiative recognizing the achievements of associates and their families on-the-job and in their personal lives.
A significant component of the Falcon Program is the recognition and encouragement of students as they pursue their secondary and postsecondary educations,said Joan D. Sweeney, Channellocks director of corporate development.Channellock is extremely pleased to present this scholarship to Erin and to wish her every success as she enters her senior year of studies at West Virginia University.
