The West Virginia University Division of Art is currently registering students for its Summer Art Studio, to be held June 9-29 at the Creative Arts Center.

According to Bill Thomas, coordinator of art education in the Division of Art, the studio is designed so that prospective art teachers and young people ages 7-12 can experience the joy of creativityside by side.

The children and art students will work together on various art projects, using a variety of media and they will also examine ways in which to link these studio activities to language arts, social studies and science,he said.

The studio will be held Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 11:50 a.m. The cost is $130, which includes all materials. Registration will continue through May 7 and enrollment is limited.
