West Virginia University is planning a special WVUp All Night finale Thursday through Saturday (April 22-24) filled with free food, comedy and concerts in the Mountainlair.

This is a safe way for students to relax and have fun right here on campus before the stress of finals set in,said Robert Cappellanti of Arts&Entertainment.

All three nights will feature half price specials on Astro Bowling and billiardsplus many free activities with a Mountaineer Card.

Some of Thursday’s highlights include a movie (The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King) at 8 p.m. in the Gluck Theatre; Comedy Caravan featuring Rusty Z at 9 p.m. at Hatfields; and free tacos and nachos at 10 p.m. in the commons area.

On Friday, mentalist Steve Banachek will wow students with his psychic abilities at 10 p.m. in the food court, and there will be a free breakfast buffet at midnight at Hatfields.

Make a hit CD at 9 p.m. Saturday in the food court, or go to a concert at 10 p.m. in the Side Pocket Pub.

The WVUp All Night program was started as an alternative to the weekend bar scene.
