The West Virginia women’s soccer team will host the Betty Puskar Breast Care Center Soccer Invitational on April 24-25, on the campus of West Virginia University to help raise money and awareness for breast cancer.
The Betty Puskar Breast Care Center is dedicated to improving the health of women of West Virginia and the surrounding region, in a warm, comfortable environment that is sensitive to women’s needs.
Eight college and club teams will compete throughout the day on Saturday, April 24, in a one-day tournament to be held at Milan Puskar Stadium, home of Mountaineer Field and WVU ’s brand new Mountaineer Soccer Practice Field.
On Sunday April 25, the Mountaineer soccer team will conduct a shooting clinic for athletes ages 5-18, from 4:00-5:30 p.m. The cost of the clinic is a $10 donation to the Betty Puskar Breast Care Center . Following the clinic the women’s soccer team will take part in the Second Annual Breast Cancer Soccer Challenge. Mountaineer team members collect sponsorships for each event as they challenge themselves in a shoot, pass and dribble competition.
The No. 10 ranked Mountaineers would like your help to fight the battle of b reast cancer . You can make a difference in any of these three easy ways to help kick breast cancer:
- Make a charitable contribution made payable to Betty Puskar Breast Care Center .
- Participate in the clinic at the new Mountaineer Soccer Practice Field on Sunday, April 25th. Registration is $10 and will be collected the day of the clinic.
- Sponsor a WVU women’s soccer player in the Soccer Challenge on April 25th.
