On Saturday (April 17), young people from around the state will join together to build a better West Virginia through service. West Virginia Touch a Life Day, which is sponsored by the West Virginia Youth Service Initiative, provides an opportunity for young people to give back to their communities through projects such as cleaning parks, beautifying schools, planting flowers and staging canned food drives.

The West Virginia Youth Service Initiative will sponsor a kickoff celebration in Morgantown and a wrap-up celebration in Charleston. All media outlets are invited to attend.

The West Virginia Youth Service Initiative will spend the day traveling through the state visiting various service projects. Two large 15-passenger vans have been reserved to take a team of media along to visit the sites.
