More than 120 students from across the state participated in the West Virginia High School Journalism Competition, hosted by the West Virginia University Perley Isaac Reed School of Journalism and the West Virginia Press Association.
The live competition, the only one of its kind in the state, was held Thursday, and winners were announced Friday during a luncheon.
“These young West Virginians represent the future of journalism,”said Acting SOJ Dean Maryanne Reed.”We are proud to bring the best and brightest young journalists in the state here each year and to help launch them into the field.”
