West Virginia University jazz musicians will perform in concert Tuesday, March 9, at 7:30 p.m. in the Lyell B. Clay Concert Theatre at the Creative Arts Center.

Conducted by Director of Jazz Studies Paul Scea, WVU music professor Keith Jackson, and Michael Morelli, the concert will feature the WVU jazz program’s many ensembles, including the Post-Mod Jazz Quintet, Latin Jazz Group, Blue Bones, Steel Combo, Piano Trio, Jazz Ensemble I, Jazz Ensemble II and Group 1.

Music performed will include a variety of jazz and ethnic selections, including:The Saga of Harrison Crabfeathersby Steve Kuhn;Passion Danceby McCoy Tyner;Deboraby Rafael Dos Santos;So Whatby Miles Davis;Pura Emocionby Chico O’Farrill;Let’s Get Downby Ronnie Mathews;Voulez Vous Dancerby Jules Sagna;Inner Urgeby Joe Henderson;Have You Met Miss Jonesby Richard Rogers and Lorenz Hart;Horn of Puenteby Gordon Goodwin;Aliciaby Leslie Drayton andHigh Maintenanceby Gordon Goodwin. The Steel Combo will perform an original work by WVU student Jim Morford, titledSquints.
