The West Virginia University Student Chapter of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) will present a Young Peoples Concert at the Creative Arts Center Sunday, Feb. 22, at 1 p.m. in the Bloch Learning and Performance Hall (Room 200A).

The concert will feature pieces chosen because of their appeal to children and young adults. Compositions in a variety of musical genres will be included and the performers will talk informally to the audience about each piece, its composer and musical style.

The young people in the audience will also have a chance to see and hear some pieces that they may recognize, performed on period instruments such as the harpsichord and fortepiano.

This is a wonderful chance for children and young adults to enjoy listening to music and learning about music as well. The event is free and open to the public.
