WVU officials are clearly disappointed with todays (Feb. 5) verdict and the judgement awarded in the civil case filed by a former employee and two current officers, and believe strongly that there was no wrongdoing on the part of the University, said WVU General Counsel Tom Dorer.

We will be pursuing our legal options in the coming days and take appropriate action. Not withstanding the jurys decision, we believe the evidence just doesnt support the verdict.

In the meantime, Dorer commented, the University remains committed, as always, to following all state and federal laws and upholding fair employee practices.
