Basketball fever has hit West Virginia University. As excitement builds for the WVU -St. Louis match-up, WVU ’s Alumni Association is gearing up by hosting a”Meet the Mountaineers”reception Monday (Dec. 1), from 6:30-9 p.m., at the Charleston Marriott.

The reception will feature a radio broadcast of the”John Beilein Show”hosted by popular Mountaineer play-by-play announcer Tony Caridi. Coach Beilein and the entire basketball team will mingle with WVU fans, and audience members will have the opportunity to show their Mountaineer pride as the MetroNews Radio Network broadcasts”live”to a statewide audience.

All WVU alumni and their guests are invited to the free event sponsored by State Farm Insurance. Everyone who attends will be entered into a drawing for a pair of lower level tickets to the Jan. 21 WVU -Marshall basketball game.

The WVU Mountaineers are set to square off against the St. Louis Billikens at 7 p.m. Tuesday (Dec. 2) at the Charleston Civic Center. Tickets can be purchased at the Charleston Civic Center Box Office or by calling 1 800 WVU GAME .
