West Virginia University music faculty members William Haller and Janis Rozena-Peri will present a recital at the WVU Creative Arts Center Sunday, Nov. 30.
The program begins at 3 p.m. in the Falbo Theatre and is free and open to the public.
Dr. Haller, harpsichord and piano, and Peri, soprano, have planned a program of preludes, fugues and arias by Handel, Bach, Hindemith and Shostakovich.
Assisting them on the program will be Amy Galbraith, of Wheeling, who will play the oboe obbligato on the Bach aria. Galbraith is a doctoral student in music at WVU .
Haller and Peri are both long-term faculty members at WVU and derive pleasure in designing recital programs that illuminate musical relationships.
In this presentation, the contrapuntal and the text-melodic gifts of two pairs of contemporary composers are displayed.
