Nominations are being sought for West Virginia Universitys Martin Luther King, Jr. Awardan honor bestowed annually to a person who exemplifies the dreams and ideals of the late human rights activist.

To be eligible, nominees must be a resident of West Virginia and must have, or be making a substantial contribution in the advancement of, such concerns as: civil rights, human rights, humanitarianism, social action and advocacy, civility, improving the human condition, acting as a change agent for an inclusive and equal society for all people, among others.

The award will be presented on Monday, Jan. 19, 2004 (inclement weather date is Jan. 20) at the annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Unity Breakfast program in the WVU Mountainlair Ballrooms beginning at 8 a.m.
