Nominations are being sought for West Virginia Universitys Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship Awardan honor bestowed annually to a WVU college student who has demonstrated an active interest and meaningful involvement in areas of human rights, civil rights, social justice and/or world peace or other activities exemplary or reflective of the ideals and life of Dr. King.
p. The full amount of this award is $1,000, which will be applied to the 2004-05 financial aid package of the recipient ($500/semester). To be eligible, the student must be enrolled full- time at WVU , possess a G.P.A. of 3.0 or higher, must have financial need (as determined by the WVU Office of Financial Aid) and must have a current undergraduate class rank of sophomore or junior.

This award will be presented to the recipient Monday, Jan. 19, 2004 (inclement weather date is Jan. 20) at the annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Unity Breakfast program at the WVU Mountainlair Ballrooms beginning at 8 a.m.
