The West Virginia University Chamber Winds Ensemble, conducted by John Weigand, will present a concert at the Creative Arts Center, Monday, Sept. 29, at 7:30 p.m. in the Gladys Davis Theatre.
The program includes Octet-Partita Op. 57 by Franz Krommer (1760-1831), 9 Pices Caractristiques by Jean Francaix (1912-1997), and Serenade for Winds Op. 7 by Richard Strauss (1864-1949).
WVU students in the Chamber Winds Ensemble include: Sarah Hill and John Ross, flutes; Amy Galbraith and Mark Ryder, oboes; Amy McCann and Meghan Bolling, clarinets; Alicia Whitney, Tiffany Jones and Matthew Hollis, bassoons; and Thomas Springer, Becky Tabeling, Patrick Richards and Mark Zyla, horns.
The Chamber Winds Concert is free and the public is cordially invited to attend.
