The WVU Student Government Association has arranged for free transportation to and from Saturdays (Sept. 27) 10th annual Wine&Jazz Festival at Camp Muffly for University students.

The festival provides a venue for local musicians, artisans and merchants while at the same time supporting music education. The two-day event includes performances by ESCUCHA !, Bad Influence, The Real Silk Band, Salsamba and Dwayne Dolphin. For complete details, log on to: http://www.wine-jazz.com .

About 1,000 WVU students attend the festival every year, said SGA President Charlie Battleson. University and City buses will provide a free and safe way to get to and from Camp Muffly, located a few miles south of Morgantown.

On Saturday, University buses will depart from the Health Sciences pylons at 10:30 a.m. and noon, and the Mountainlair at 10:45 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. Mountain Line buses will provide return transportation to these same campus locations at 5 p.m.

Proceeds from the festival support music education through an annual scholarship awarded to a West Virginia student with high academic promise.
