Gov. Bob Wise on Monday (July 7) appointed two new members to West Virginia Universitys 15-member Board of Governors and reappointed two others.

Joining the board through June 2007 is retired CEO of Hecks, Inc. Russ Isaacs of Cottageville, replacing Thomas Potter, whose term expired, and Michael Vetere, superintendent of schools for Monongalia County, replacing Ted Mattern, who retired as superintendent and whose term expires in June 2006.

President of The Charleston Gazette newspaper ElizabethBettyChilton and president and CEO of Centra Bank in Morgantown Douglas Leech were reappointed to terms ending in June 2007.

The WVU Board of Governors has general supervision and control over the academic and business affairs of the University, including West Virginia University Institute of Technology, West Virginia University at Parkersburg and Potomac State College of West Virginia University.

The panels next meeting is set for Sept. 5 in Morgantown, with committee meetings to begin at 9 a.m. and the full board session at 12:30 p.m.
