Job opportunities will be aplenty when West Virginia University hosts its annual spring Career Expo from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday, April 4, at the WVU Coliseum concourse.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for students and community members to come out and meet with a variety of employers ranging from Fortune 500 representatives from Lockheed, among others, to representatives from local businesses such as Ruby Memorial Hospital,”said Bob Kent, director of WVU s Career Services Center.

“More than 50 local and national representatives also will be prepared to meet with prospective employees, so I recommend that everyone come prepared just as if it were a job interview,”Kent advised.

“Participants should be `dressed for success, bring their current resumes and be prepared to be asked questions,”he added.”Lots of our students and other participants are often hired right on the spot.”

Career Services offers several other fairs throughout the year, designed to help students find good employment immediately after graduation. Career Services also provides career advice and inventories, resources on resume building, interviewing tips and other services tailored to help students with employment decisions.

The event is free, open to the public and there is no pre-registration. For more information, call Career Services, 304-293-2222.
