The times they will be a-changinat West VirginiaUniversity while students are away on spring break beginning Friday, March 14, through Sunday, March 23.


Residence halls will close for the break at 7 p.m. Friday and remain closed until noon Sunday, March 23. Classes resume Monday, March 24.


Also beginning Friday, the Mountaineer Parents Club �€in cooperation with the WVU Motor Pool �€will offer rides for a small fee to the PittsburghAirport and to four out-of state locations: Hagerstown, Md; Allentown, Pa.; Newark, N.J.; and Port Authority, N.Y.


Rides to the PittsburghAirport leave at 11:30 a.m. Friday from in front of the Mountainlair and at noon from the Evansdale Residential Complex for an estimated 1:30 p.m. arrival time in Pittsburgh.


Return rides are scheduled to leave the PittsburghAirport at 8:30 p.m. Sunday, March 23.


Out-of-state buses also depart for the four-state area this Friday at 1:30 p.m. from in front of the Mountainlair and 2 p.m. from the ERC .


Buses return on Sunday, March 23, leaving Port Authority, N.Y., at 2 p.m.; from Newark, N.J., at 2:30 p.m.; from Allentown, Pa ., at 4:30 p.m.; and from Hagerstown, Md., at 8:30 p.m. for return to Morgantown by approximately 10:30 p.m.

  • Mathematics Library �€March 15-16, closed; March 17-21, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.; March 22-23, closed.

  • Health Sciences Library �€March 15, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.; March 16, 1-9 p.m.; March 17-21, 9 a.m.-9 p.m.; March 22, 1-5 p.m.; March 23, 6-10 p.m.

All libraries will resume normal hours March 24.


Hours at the StudentRecreationCenter will change beginning Friday, when the facility opens at 6 a.m. and closes at 8 p.m. The RecCenter will be closed Saturday and Saturday, be open 6 a.m.-8 p.m. next week and be closed again Saturday, March 22. The facility will resume normal hours Sunday, March 23.


The Mountainlair student union will also operate under curtailed hours during the break. The Lair will be open from 7 a.m.-5:30 p.m. March 17-21, with all food court vendors doing business from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. The facility will be open for special events on both weekends of the break.
