“Crimes Against Nature,”a one-man play about the pressure of growing up male in America, will be presented by Chris Kilmartin at 9 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, in the Mountainlair Blue Ballroom.

According to Kilmartin, men die seven years earlier than women because they get hurt more often, smoke more, drink more, eat the wrong foods, get into more accidents, commit suicide four times more often and dont go to the doctor when theyre sick. His play points out the absurdities and contradictions of masculinity.

Kilmartin has worked to end violence against women on the local, state and national levels. He has been a stand-up comedian since 1985, has authored”The Masculine Self”and”Sexual Assault in Context,”and co-authored”The Pain Behind the Mask”with John Lynch.
