West VirginiaUniversitys Division of Forestry will host a colloquium from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28, at the WestvacoCenter, WVUForest, to review and discuss issues surrounding the International Year of Ecotourism and to recommend actions for the different ecotourism stakeholder groups.


Goals include providing a broad exposure to the current global state of development in the field of ecotourism; examining more specific aspects such as destination, media, business and new directions; and providing an opportunity for discussion of key issues and a forum for making suggestions for future action.


Participants have been invited from tourism-related programs at universities in West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Ohio.
