West Virginia University students who are interested in studying abroad can gain valuable information at a 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Study Abroad fair Thursday, Jan. 23, in the Mountainlair ballrooms.


Sponsored by the Office of International Programs and Scholars, the fair will provide students information on more than 40 different programs, including semester or year-long exchanges and faculty-led trips that take place over spring break or summer.


Last years fair was quite a success with nearly 500 students attending the fall event, said Tara George-Jones, program assistant for the Office of International Programs&Scholars.


“We have a wide variety of different programs that we offer in many different study areas,”George-Jones said.”Some of our most popular destinations include Europe, Japan, Mexico and Australia.”


Students attending tomorrows fair can ask questions, gather information on prospective Study Abroad trips and talk with program assistants.


Study Abroad opportunities also are available to WVU international students, she added.
