West VirginiaUniversity students can find out about more housing options at WVU s 19th annual Off-Campus Housing Fair to be held from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29, in the Mountainlair ballrooms.

This years fair is expected to be another successful event, said Julie Whiteman, WVU s off-campus housing coordinator.

“The 2002 Housing Fair was a great success,”Whiteman said.”Last year, we had 492 students visit the fair and 22 landlords participated. We are expecting even more students to attend this year.”

The event provides an opportunity for both students and local landlords to share information, ask questions and arrange appointments to view rental properties, she added. The fair, however, will not permit students to sign lease agreements or exchange money with any landlords.

“It would be very worthwhile for students to take advantage of the event,”Whiteman explained.”The students can ask any questions that they might have, and many of the concerns that they have about off-campus housing will be eased.”
