The 53rd Annual Little Eastern Livestock Show hosted by West VirginiaUniversitys Block and Bridle Club will take place Saturday, Nov. 2, at 9 a.m. at the WVU Animal Science Farm. The event is open to the public.


The event will feature WVU students enrolled in animal science courses at the Davis College of Agriculture, Forestry and Consumer Sciences competing in various classes such as dairy, beef, sheep and pigs.


“The Block and Bridle Club at WVU has put on the event since it first started,”said Petra Meier, student president of the group.”The club is a national organization which promotes agriculture and livestock.”


Adults and children can enjoy games throughout the day such as an egg toss, hay bale toss and a greased pig contest. Prizes will be awarded to the winners. Activities are free except for lunch, which will be $6 in advance and $7 at the door.
