The West Virginia University Office of Service Learning Programs is seeking volunteers to participate in the United Ways”Make a Difference”Weekend Oct. 26-27 in various locations throughout greater Morgantown.


The locations and specific events are as follows:


  • Christian Help and the Womens Career Clothing Closet will be expanding their project to Wadestown on Saturday from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Transportation will be provided. For more information call 296-0221.

  • PACE and Stepping Stones will be hosting a Halloween Party on Sunday from noon-4 p.m. at the Westover VFW . For more information call 284-8400.

  • In Touch and Concerned will assist senior citizens with yard work on Sunday from 1-4 p.m. For location and more information call 296-6109.

  • The Shack Neighborhood House will be making animal treats and toys on Sunday from 1-4 p.m. For location and more information call 599-5466.

  • Mon Valley Green Coalition needs assistance for the cleanup and beautification project of WhitePark on Sunday from 1- 4 p.m. For more information call 291-3091.

  • The Bartlett House Homeless Shelter will be painting rooms and making Halloween bags for children on Sunday from 1-4 p.m. For more information call 292-0101.
