Nominations are being sought for WVU s Martin Luther King, Jr. Awardan honor bestowed annually to a person who exemplifies the dreams and ideals of the late human rights activist.


To be eligible, nominees must be a resident of West Virginia and must have, or be making a substantial contribution in the advancement of such concerns as: civil rights, human rights, humanitarianism, social action and advocacy, civility, improving the human condition, acting as a change agent for an inclusive and equal society for all people, among others.


The award will be presented Monday, Jan. 20, 2003 at a 8 a.m. breakfast in the Mountainlair Ballrooms.
