The WVU Division of Theatre and Dance production of Shakespeares”Twelfth Night,”originally scheduled to open Oct. 18 and run through Oct. 26, has been postponed one week due to the temporary closing of the WVU Creative Arts Center.


The play will open Oct. 25 in the CAC s Gladys G. Davis Theatre and will run through Nov. 2, according to Margaret McKowen, chair of the WVU Division of Theatre and Dance.


McKowen said that anyone who already bought tickets for the play may contact the Mountainlair Box Office at (304) 293-SHOW and arrange to exchange them for another date.


The Box Office will begin exchanging tickets, and also selling tickets for the new dates, on Monday, Oct. 21.


“Twelfth Night,”one of Shakespeares most popular plays, is a comedy of love, mistaken identity and confused gender.


The new dates for the play will be Oct. 25, 26, 29, 30, 31, and Nov. 1 and 2 at 7:30 p.m. in the CAC Gladys Davis Theatre. There will also be a matinee performance on Oct. 27 at 2 p.m.


Tickets for”Twelfth Night”are $12 for the general public; $11 for WVU faculty, staff, and senior citizens; and $9 for students and children. Tickets for the Oct. 29 performance will be offered at a”two for Tuesday”discount�€two tickets for $9.
