Gov. Bob Wise will open the West Virginia Book Festival by launching four new books published by West Virginia University Press at an 11 a.m. ceremony Thursday (Oct. 10) in the Governors Reception Room, State Capitol.

WVU Press and West Virginia Book Festival officials will join the governor in announcing the four latest releases rich in Appalachian writing.

The ceremony opens the book festival, which will be Friday and Saturday (Oct. 11-12) at the CharlestonCivicCenter.
