Members of West VirginiaUniversitys New Student Orientation Office will be helping high school seniors and their families get acquainted with WVU through a series of upcoming open houses called Mountaineer Visitation Days.

Mountaineer Visitation Days are scheduled for Oct. 21 and 25 €as well as Nov. 11, Nov. 18 and Dec. 13.

“As WVU s guest for the day, participants receive a wide array of valuable information from faculty, staff and current WVU students,”said Regan Fritsch-Bruni, coordinator of New Student Services.

During the day, students and their families will visit the new StudentRecreationCenter, tour the campus and eat lunch in the residence halls.

During academic interest sessions, participants will receive enrollment materials from various academic schools, colleges and units.

Participants also can attend three informational sessions of their choice on subjects like housing and residence life and financial aid, or they can ride on the PRT or attend a class.

“We personalize the visitation day for our prospective students and their families by offering many options,”Fritsch-Bruni said.”Students and parents choose what sessions to attend and this allows them to go to the activities that are of interest to them.”

Prospective students and families interested in attending a Mountaineer Visitation Day are asked to make reservations with New Student Services as soon as possible. For more information, call (304) 293-2264 or visit the web at http://www.arc.wvu.edu/Visit_main.html.
