West Virginia Universitys Council for Womens Concerns is seeking the names of community members, as well as faculty, staff and students to serve three-year terms on the council.

The council, an affiliate organization of the WVU Social Justice Council, promotes equity for women. It also advises the WVU executive officer for Social Justice on issues affecting WVU women and acts as an advocate for womens concerns.

The councils primary activities include planning and organizing Women of Color Day, Take Our Daughters to Work Day and the Mary Catherine Buswell Award, an annual advocacy award given for outstanding service to WVU women. The council meets monthly during the academic year from 12:30-2 p.m. on the first Friday of the month.
