West Virginia University students can bring their moms to class Tuesday, March 12, as part of the first Take Our Moms to Class Day program sponsored by the WVU Center for Womens Studies and the West Virginia Womens Studies Network.
WVU students, as well as faculty and staff are invited to participate in the event by bringing their moms to the campus for the day to attend University classes and special informational sessions in the Mountainlair. While women are the focus of the day, men are also welcome, said Barbara Howe, Center for Womens Studies director.
“Representatives of many WVU offices will be available to meet with participants in the Mountainlairs Shenandoah, Laurel and Monongalia Rooms to address questions on topics such as the Regents Bachelor of Arts program and financial aid, to name a few,”Dr. Howe said.
