The West Virginia University Alumni Association will host the 11th Annual Legislative Reception Monday, Feb. 18, at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Charleston. The reception, from 6-8 p.m., is an opportunity for University and Alumni Association officials to say”thank you”for the dedicated service legislators and state employees provide.

In conjunction with the reception, over 25 WVU academic, research, service and administrative units will display information and materials about their mission and goals. These booths help illustrate the kinds of initiatives taking place in Morgantown and the regional campuses throughout the state.

“We have experienced great success with this event over the years,”Stephen Douglas, chief executive officer of the WVU Alumni Association, explained.”We are able to express our gratitude to our legislators and state employees while educating them about the cutting-edge research, academic and service programs associated with the states research and land-grant University. Its important for everyone to understand that the work going on at WVU benefits the entire state.”
