Discover the passion of John Mayer and his music when he performs in the WVU Mountainlair Ballrooms on Sunday, March 3. Showtime is 7:30 p.m.

Mayer’s creative songwriting and warm stage presence have established him as a formidable musical force, and the smoky swagger of his voice evokes visions of Dave Matthews, Sting and Jakob Dylan. In 1999, he released Inside Wants Out, an album consisting mostly of solo acoustic renditions of his energetic, earnest songs. His latest album, Room For Squares, is a full band electric effort.

“The very nature of standing in front of a mic with a guitar that’s in tune, the millions of songs that could happen at that moment? I love that!”Mayer says. His enthusiasm for music is immediately evident as he captivates crowds with his folk rock sound. Mayer’s Morgantown performance will be backed by a full band.
