West Virginia University students interested in earning a masters and/or doctorate degree can learn more during a free seminar from 7-8:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28, at Erickson Alumni Center.

“The Value of a Ph.D./Ed.D”is sponsored in part by the WVU McNair Scholars Program. The federally-funded program is named after Dr. Ronald E. McNair, one of the astronauts who died on board the shuttle Challenger when it exploded in 1986. The seminar is being held to commemorate the 16th anniversary of the tragedy and the life of Dr. McNair. WVU currently has 20 students in the program.

Representatives from many of WVU s colleges will be on hand to speak to students and answer questions about their graduate programs; a reception will follow the panel discussion.

The seminar is open to all WVU students. For more information, call 293-4316.
