The deadline is approaching for undergraduate students from West Virginia colleges and universities to submit papers for the 10th Annual Literature Symposium for Undergraduate Students, scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 23, 2002 on the West Virginia University campus.
Eighteen students from West Virginia colleges and universities will be selected to present their literary work during the symposium. A panel of faculty judges will award cash prizes for first, second and third places to the best conference papers.
Completed papers should be appropriate for a 15-minute presentation and, therefore, should not exceed 8-10 double-spaced, typed pages. Only papers written during the 2001 calendar year are eligible. Analytical, theoretical or interpretative studies of literary works, films or culture are welcome. Completed papers along with the students name, address, telephone number, and email address (if applicable) should be mailed by Friday, Dec. 28, to Timothy Dow Adams, WVU Department of English, P.O. BOX 6296 , Morgantown, WV 26506 -6296, or dropped off to 231 Stansbury Hall.
The February 28th symposium, which runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., is sponsored by the WVU Department of English in the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences
