The West Virginia University Student Recreation Center will be offering”free days”during the holiday break for eligible WVU employees, their families and the families of students enrolled for the spring semester.

The”free days”will be Sunday, Dec. 16, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; Wednesday, Dec. 19, 6 a.m.-8 p.m.; Thursday, Dec. 27, 6 a.m.-8 p.m.; Saturday, Jan. 5, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; and Tuesday, Jan. 8, 6 a.m.-8 p.m.

WVU employees will need to bring and show their ID card to enter the facility. Family members who come without an employee will need to bring the employees ID card.

The Student Recreation Center opened in July on the Evansdale Campus near the Towers PRT station. The 177,000-square-foot facility features a climbing wall; athletic courts; a 17,000-square-foot weight/fitness area; an aquatics area; an elevated three-lane jogging/walking track; a wellness center; and three large multipurpose rooms.
