Deepawali, or Diwali, is the most awaited festival in India. The festival associates light as the symbol of joy, splendor, brightness and happiness. As part of this festival, which falls on new moon night, homes are lighted with numerous diyas, lamps made of clay, that burn through the night, spreading the light of goodness and prosperity. The Diwali festival, celebrated on a nationwide scale in India, encompasses all sections of society and has transcended the boundaries of religion in its spirit.

Ticket prices are $15 for non-students, $7 for children 4-10 and free for children under 4. Advance tickets for Tarang 2001 are $10 for students; student tickets are $12 if purchased at the door.
