Continued acts of terrorism have left the nation looking for answers to a host of troubling questions, particularly biological hazards and new assaults on the security of the American people.
West Virginia Universitys Davis College of Agriculture, Forestry and Consumer Sciences has several faculty members who can offer their expertise on the latest developments in the attack on America. They include:
- Dr. Robert Pitts, DVM , a clinical assistant professor in the Division of Animal Veterinary Sciences and Extension specialist in veterinary science, 304-293-2631. Dr. Pitts has experience working with anthrax during his time with the West Virginia Department of Agriculture.
- Gary Bissonnette, professor in the Division of Plant and Soil Sciences, 304-293-3911, Ext. 2224. Professor Bissonnette focuses his work largely on the public health significance of waterborne pathogens.
- Brett Kenney, associate professor in the Division of Animal and Veterinary Sciences, 304-293-2406, x4423. Professor Kenney has worked extensively with food safety issues at the processing level.
