A Morgantown philanthropist has established the Hazel Ruby McQuain WVU College of Law Deans Endowment Fund. The endowment was created through the WVU Foundation in conjunction with the Building Greatness Campaign, a $250 million fund-raising effort being conducted by the Foundation on behalf of the University. The fund will allow the dean to address pressing needs not met through other funding resources.

“I greatly value what this gift means to our College. Hazel Ruby McQuain has a storied history of supporting our law school and West Virginia University. We are extremely pleased with the creation of this endowment fund. It will provide a very positive environment for future private development at the College,”said Dean John Fisher.

Specifically, the fund will be used for technology and emergency budget needs in the Deans Office; for travel, registration or dues related to conferences and meetings; for recognition of law students; and for student emergency needs, he said.
