Classes operating as scheduled

September 11th, 2001

Classes at WVU will go on as scheduled this week, University officials confirmed. However, Provost Gerald Lang urges faculty and administrators to be sensitive to student and employee concerns and fears in this time of national emergency involving apparent terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center, Pentagon and other U.S. locations.

The Office of Student Life will have counselors on hand in the coming days to support and assist students and employees. Phone: 293-4431 (students) or 293-4431 (faculty and staff).

Update on One Waterfront Place

The Foundation-owned facility, One Waterfront Place, that houses approximately 500 University and Foundation employees, was evacuated early Tuesday morning (Sept. 11) following a bomb threat. As a precaution, the building remained closed until 9a.m. Today (Sept. 12), when it reopened. This is the only WVU -affiliated building to receive any threats at this time.
