The West Virginia University Alumni Associations 59th Annual Golf Tournament and Awards Dinner is set for Friday, July 27, at Lakeview Scanticon Resort and Conference Center. The tournament begins at 1:15 p.m. with a shotgun start followed by an awards reception and dinner at 6:15 p.m.
Entry fee is $125 per player, which includes all golf and cart fees, buffet lunch and dinner, beverages on the course, skill prizes, exclusive tournament sweatshirt and awards. One of the awards will give golfers a chance to win $10,000 cash on hole No. 12 with a hole-in-one. All other par three holes will give golfers the opportunity to win other awards and prizes such as closest to the pin.
WVU alumni and friends may also attend the reception and dinner only for $25 per person.
Kevin Berry, Alumni Association associate director, said this event is one of the most well attended and longest running golftournaments in the state. The field is limited to the first 132 golfers and the deadline for entries is July 20.
