Elizabeth Reynolds, special assistant for financial operations at West Virginia University, has been named interim associate vice president for finance. She will begin her new duties Aug. 2.

Reynolds will replace Terry Ondreyka, who leaves Aug. 1 to become vice president of finance at Youngstown (Ohio) State University.

“I am honored to accept the interim position because its an exciting time to be working in finance at WVU ,”she said.”Were finishing up some major contracts and beginning to upgrade the financial system.”

Reynolds, who grew up in Wheeling, has worked eight years at WVU . She started as a budget analyst in budget planning before joining the associate vice presidents staff in 1996.

A WVU alumnus, she obtained a bachelors degree in business administration with emphasis in finance in 1992 and a masters degree in business administration in 1994.

The University will conduct a national search for a new associate vice president, with a goal of filling the permanent position by January, said Scott Kelley, vice president for administration and finance.
