West Virginia University’s Dining Services has won second place for its Culinary Creations catering guide in the CateringStandard Menu category of the 2001 Loyal E. Horton Dining Awards contest.

The Loyal E. Horton Dining Award salutes the most successful ideas in menus, presentation, special event planning and dining concepts in college and university culinary arts. Winning this award confers prestige and recognition upon the WVU chefs, dining program and the University, says Jeff DeMoss, director.

The National Association of College&University Food Services (NACUFS) will present a plaque to WVU Dining Services personnel on July 13 during the national conference in Cincinnati, Ohio.

“We are proud to be the recipient of such a prestigious award in the college and university food services field,”DeMoss said.”This award is a testament to our commitment to provide the University community with the finest quality in food service.”

Culinary Creations caters all types and sizes of meetings, receptions and events around the WVU campus. Services range from a simple beverage service to an elaborate full-course meals. Custom menus are also available.
