Two West Virginia University seniors will have some extra cash to help pay for their final semester of college.
WVU Dining Services recently awarded $250 Dining Services Student Wellness Scholarships to Brian R. Perkins of Morgantown and Jennifer E. Teagarden of Lynn Haven, Fla., both graduating seniors.
“All of our student workers provide essential services for Dining Services and their fellow students. It is always a pleasure to be able to do something to say €~thank you,”said John Birchman, assistant director of WVU conference and support services.
Student employees of WVU Dining Services with at least a 2.0 GPA were eligible to apply. Applicants were required to submit an application which consisted, in part, of a short essay about holistic health.
Perkins, a wood industries major, works at the Evansdale Residential Complex dining hall; Teagarden, a psychology major, works in catering sales.
