Safety will be the focus next week (March 12-16) on the West Virginia University campus as Student Government Association leaders address a variety of issuesincluding the dangers of drinking and driving.


Informational booths will be set up in the Mountainlair Commons Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. to offer an assortment of literature such as pedestrian safety tips, bus schedules, home safety and drug and alcohol awareness information.


The week will conclude at Fridays WVUp All Night with the Fatal Vision driving video game, a simulation that illustrates the danger of driving while intoxicated.


Safety Week is a cooperative effort between Student Government Administration and many WVU departments and community organizations, including the Department of Public Safety, University Health Services, the Carruth Center for Counseling and Psychological Services Center, Student Affairs and the Morgantown Fire Department.
