Authorities are seeking information about an abduction that took place at approximately 5:50 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 25, 2001.

The victim, a female WVU student, was abducted by an unknown white male as she was walking near the WVU Agricultural Sciences Building. The victim stated her eyes were covered and she was driven to an unknown residence off-campus, and later returned to campus. The victim received only minor injuries. Motive for the abduction is unknown at this time.

The suspect was reportedly driving a dark-colored older model pick-up truck, possibly a Ford Ranger. The suspects vehicle was parked in Short-term 4 parking area (Evansdale Campus, near Ag Science Annex). The suspect drove the victim to a residence that was described as being about 15 minutes travel from the StarCityBridge going away from town. The victim said neighbors were present and may have seen the suspect with the victim. The victim tried to get their attention, but they drove away from the area.

The suspect is described as a white male, early to mid 20’s with short wavy brownish-blonde hair, approximately 5-feet, 8-inches tall, average build, wearing a gray or white T-shirt, blue shorts, white socks and sneakers. The location where the victim was taken is described as a dark color, ranch- style house with a wooden deck and a detached metal storage shed. The neighbors house is described as a white ranch-style home, and it is believed that the neighbors were driving a white car.
