Rich Nedrow, president of RC Sales, a sales training company in Huntington, will discuss effective sales communication strategies at the monthly meeting of the West Virginia Entrepreneurs Forum (WVEF) set for Wednesday, Dec. 6, at 6:15 p.m. at the National Research Center for Coal and Energy on WVUs Evansdale Campus.

Nedrows talk will focus on seeking start-up capital from a venture capital firm and selling a product or service to consumers, said Jan Berkow, one of WVEFs founders.

Also on the program is Scott Rotruck, director of economic development for West Virginia University, providing highlights from a recent consultants study on the states economy, and Joe Barker, executive director of the WV Rural Development Council, discussing the early findings of West Virginia’s participation in the Kaufman Foundation’s Rural Entrepreneurship Initiative.

This month’s meeting of the WVEF has been temporarily changed to a Wednesday; meetings are typically held the second Tuesday of each month.

Meetings are free and open to the public, and begin at 5:30 p.m. to allow for networking.

The WVEF is a newly formed non-profit organization comprised of individuals from the business and technical community interested in promoting the formation and growth of innovative, technology-oriented companies.

Monthly programs include networking with a variety of business professionals including venture capitalists, private investors, industry experts, business service providers, inventors and other successful entrepreneurs. To enhance this portion of the meeting, attendees will be assigned name badges with colored dots indicating his or her affiliation, and an opportunity to say a few words about their company.
