West Virginia Universitys Greenbrier Valley Chapter of the WVU Alumni Association will host Mountaineer Spirit Day activities Thursday, Oct. 12, as part of pre-game activities associated with the WVU -Virginia Tech match-up that evening at 8 p.m.

“All alumni and friends are invited to join our enthusiastic gatherings as we prepare to trounce the Hokies,”said Stephen Douglas, WVU Alumni Association executive director.

The Mountaineer Marching Band will present a free, 2 p.m. performance at Greenbrier East Stadium.

The WVU Alumni Association also will host its biennial buffet from 5:30 -7:30 p.m. at Blacksburgs Four Points, 900 Prices Fork Road.

The cost is $15 per person, and the buffet includes deli foods, barbecue, salads and beverages. There also will be a cash bar. Attendance is by reservations only.

Later, a 7 p.m. kick-off party for the WVU -Virginia Tech game will be held at the Brier

Inn. Cost is $12 in advance and $10 at the door.
