With just a few days left before West Virginia Universitys annual back to school concert known as FallFest, student leaders and University officials want to remind students of a few details.

  • The 4-band concert gets under way around 7:15 p.m. Monday, Aug. 21, and ends around 1 a.m. Acts, in order of appearance, include: Khiaro Scuro, Virginia Coalition, Fuel and Live.
  • Admittance to the free activities at the Mountainlair is by Mountaineer Card only, with one non-student guest (17 and older) permitted.
  • To obtain a guest pass, stop at the tent set up in front of the Lair.
  • Entrance to the Lair is through the front doors or five Plaza entrances.
  • Two comedy shows in Hatfields are set for 10 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.
  • A Samuel L. Jackson film fest in the Gluck Theater will feature: Pulp Fiction at 2 p.m.; A Time to Kill at 5 p.m.; The Negotiator at 8 p.m.; and Rules of Engagement at 11 p.m.
  • A dance party with DJ Spooky and the Lost Boyz gets under way at 11 p.m. in the Lair Ballrooms.
  • Free soft drinks will be available and $1 nachos and burgers will be on sale all evening.
  • North High Street will be one-way north-bound after 5 p.m. Monday
  • No parking on North High Street and West Prospect St. Sunday-Monday while bands unload and staging is set up.
  • WVU buses and the PRT will run until 2 a.m. Tuesday; parking in the Lair garage is free after 7 p.m. Monday.
  • Maiden Lane will be closed to parking and traffic after 5 p.m. Monday.
  • Beer available to those of legal age
  • An EMS station will be set up on Maiden Lane.
  • No hard containers or laser pointers permitted.
