West Virginia University graduate Jodi Clark of Moundsville was crowned Miss West Virginia and will represent the state at the Miss America Pageant in Atlantic City, N.J., in October.

Clark, whose platform is Vote America: Choose Your Future!, earned a foreign language degree from WVU . She competed in the Miss West Virginia pageant as Miss Point Pleasant.

Current WVU students also took the first two runner-up finishes in the competition. First runner-up was Miss Marion County Katherine Thompson, an accounting major from Bluefield. Miss Morgantown Janna Kerns, a public relations major from Terra Alta, earned second runner-up.
